Event Type

Hands-on experience, practical boat handling, and real-world passage planning.

Most commercial sailing schools offer two extremes: a passive, crowded holiday cruise or a high-stress, 8-person “mile-munching” grind. Real competence doesn’t come from ticking theoretical boxes under stress; it comes from quiet, systematic seamanship in an uncrowded, supportive environment.

We cap every coaching week at just 3 to 4 guests. That means a guaranteed private double cabin for solo sailors, no hot-bunking, nobody sleeping in the saloon, and an absolute zero-shouting policy on deck. With low crew density, your time on the helm and the throttle multiplies, scaling seamlessly to your exact goals:

  • For Beginners & Active Crew: Build real muscle memory, master line handling, understand wind awareness, and take the helm with total peace of mind.
  • For Licensed Skippers: Refine Med-mooring techniques, practice short-handed boat handling, execute dynamic passage planning, and step up to independent command.
Sailing Coaching Switzerland - All Winds Adventures

What You’ll Master

  • The Skipper’s Toolbox Concept: We coach adaptive options for every docking and manoeuvring scenario—not rigid textbook flowcharts—so you can evaluate wind, space, and momentum to choose the right manoeuvre.
  • Stress-Free Close-Quarters Handling: Mediterranean mooring (stern-to with lazy lines), controlling prop walk, springing off quays, and handling crosswinds in tight fairways.
  • Dynamic Route Planning: How to build flexible, real-world passages that work with weather triggers rather than forcing an artificial timetable.
  • Kinetic Sail Trim & Balance: Feeling the helm, proper reefing sequences under seaway, boat balance, and setting/dropping the gennaker.
  • The Single-Handed “Safety Fuse”: Learning how to manage manoeuvres shorthanded so that you never have to yell at family or inexperienced guests on your future charters.

The Weekly Rhythm

  • Sunday: Arrival, boat orientation, warm-up familiarisation sail and getting your sea legs. (optional Saturday evening Arrival)
  • Monday to Wednesday: Active coastal passages. You take turns running the boat—managing pilotage, helming, sail trim, and anchoring for lunch in quiet bays.
  • Thursday: Skills flex day—focusing on specific manoeuvres, sail adjustments, or offshore tracking.
  • Friday: Consolidation sail back to Rogoznica, final marina docking practice, and evening debrief.
  • Saturday: Check-out by 08:00 AM.

Transparent Pricing & Cabin Comfort

Unlike typical sailing schools that advertise a low headline rate only to demand €350–€450 cash on arrival for a shared “Bordkasse”, fuel, and cleaning, All Winds operates on total pricing transparency with zero hidden cash kitties.

  • Private Double Cabin (Solo Sailor): CHF 1,950 (Early-Bird Special until December 31, 2026: CHF 1,650)
  • Shared Double Cabin (Couples or friends booking together): CHF 1,250 per person (Early-Bird Special until December 31, 2026: CHF 1,060 per person)

Exclusive Value-Add: Meet & Warm-Up Sail in Switzerland

Hit the ground running before you even pack your bags.

Great coaching starts with rapport, not stress on a foreign pontoon. All Swiss-based participants can join Dave for a 2-hour warm-up sail on Lake Zug or Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee) before departing for Croatia.

  • Zero-Pressure Icebreaker: Meet your coach and crewmates on local waters.
  • Find Your Feel: Shake off the rust, get hands-on at the helm, and rediscover natural boat momentum.
  • Tailored From Day One: We establish your baseline together so we don’t spend the first two days onboard All Winds figuring out how you learn best.

(Organised on a cost-sharing basis for the lake dayboat rental. Dates scheduled with the crew prior to departure.)

Why Join All Winds Adventures?

We aren’t a massive sailing school churning out certificates, and this isn’t a high-stress boot camp. We are here to bridge the gap between having a license and actually having the confidence to enjoy your holiday.

While commands, standard procedures, and navigation are run in English, complex aerodynamic concepts, technical systems, and debriefs can easily be explained in German whenever needed to ensure complete confidence and zero stress.
