Frequently asked questions
For bareboat charters in most European countries, you’ll need a recognised sailing licence such as an ICC, Day Skipper, Yachtmaster or “Hochseeschein”. In some countries, such as Croatia, you will also require a VHF/SRC certificate. In Atlantic France, they may be more concerned with your Sailing CV rather than certification, but it is still a good idea to have it available.
Along with our own Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 we are also an agency for several charter companies (worldwide), therefore we can source your ideal yacht for you. We offer modern sailing yachts and catamarans in various sizes — from sporty 2-cabin cruisers to spacious 4-cabin yachts, all fully equipped and ready for your adventure. Don’t have a skipper’s license, don’t worry, we can also arrange skippered or fully crewed charters
Most charters run Saturday to Saturday, but sometimes shorter or custom trips are sometimes possible — especially outside peak season.
This depends on the charter provider but in general the yachts, standard equipment, safety gear, dinghy, and bedding are included. Extras like fuel, end cleaning, mooring fees, and optional add-ons (skipper, outboard motor for dinghy, SUP, Wi-Fi) are clearly listed in your quote.
Weather is part of every sailing adventure — and sometimes that means adjusting your plans.
As skipper of a bareboat charter, it’s your responsibility to monitor forecasts and adapt your route accordingly to keep the boat and your crew safe.
Pack light! Use soft bags (solid roller cases are not suitable for the boat) and bring swimwear, casual clothes, a light jacket, non-slip shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, rain gear and your travel documents. If you are chartering outside of high season then some warmer clothing is a good idea.
Then feel free to contact us either through our contact form or contact (at) allwindsadventures.com and we will be happy to answer your question.
