Join us for a one-week small group sailing holiday. A hands-on sailing adventure on the stunning Croatian Coast.
This week is designed for anyone who wants to experience life on the water or actively improve their sailing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. We cater to all levels. If you already have your certification, why not take the lead for a day under the supervision of our commercially endorsed Yachtmaster and sailing coach (Dave) to shake off the nerves and gain real-world confidence? If you are brand new to sailing or interested in pursuing qualifications down the line, we will help you get the absolute most out of the week, no matter your starting point.
🧭 What to Expect
Saturday – Arrival & Check-In
Meet at the charter base in the afternoon. Your coach will have already taken delivery of our yacht (often All Winds, a Beneteau Oceanis 41.1). Once onboard, we’ll do a thorough introduction to the yacht and discuss our route options for the week. Depending on the weather and the crew, we might head out to anchor on the first night, or stay put and enjoy a cosy meal onboard or at the pizzeria right at the end of our dock!
Sunday – Familiarisation Sail
A relaxed day to get our sea legs and get to know the boat and crew. We’ll do a warm-up sail, practice some basic manoeuvres, and review the boat’s systems so everyone feels comfortable and at home onboard.
Monday to Wednesday – Seize the opportunity
This is your time to step up. Ask whatever you want, learn about sail trim, navigation, boat handling, or simply explore the Croatian coastline. We might stop to explore an abandoned submarine base, drop anchor for a swim in a crystal-clear bay, or just enjoy the shoreline as we cruise past. We will hunt for unforgettable sunsets and make as many great memories as possible.
Thursday – Flex Day
Sailing is dictated by the weather. Depending on the wind and how far we’ve explored, we might need to put some solid nautical miles in today to get within a reasonable distance of our home base before Friday’s return.
Friday – Skills Consolidation & Debrief
A final breakfast on anchor followed by a shorter sail back. We aim to get back to base before the Friday afternoon marina chaos, giving us time to enjoy hot showers and a final apéro in the cockpit before packing up.
Saturday – Departure:
Check out and departure first thing in the morning.
Life Onboard: Boat Life 101
Sailing is an incredible adventure, but a yacht is not a hotel. If you are new to sailing, here are a few realities of boat life to keep in mind:
- We Are a Team: This is a hands-on boat. There is no stewardess or hired crew to clean up after you. Everyone pitches in with the cooking, washing up, and keeping the boat tidy. It’s a core part of the true sailing experience and builds great camaraderie.
- Water & Power are Finite: When we are moored in a marina, you’ll have access to full shore showers and 220v power (like the wall plugs at home). But when we are out at anchor, we rely on the water and electricity we carry with us. That means quick “navy showers” onboard, only USB charging for phones, and being mindful of leaving lights on.
- The Marine Toilet (Head): Marine plumbing is a delicate ecosystem. The golden rule of sailing applies: Nothing goes into the toilet unless you have eaten or drunk it first. All toilet paper and wipes go into a bin, not the bowl. We will teach you exactly how to use it safely!
- Space is Premium: Soft duffel bags only, please! Hard suitcases cannot be stowed on a yacht. We live in close quarters, so bringing an easy-going attitude is the most important thing you can pack.

🌅 Why Join All Winds Adventures?
We aren’t a massive sailing school churning out certificates, and this isn’t a high-stress boot camp. We are here to bridge the gap between having a license and actually having the confidence to enjoy your holiday.
- No Crowds, No Strangers in Your Bed: Unlike standard charter schools that cram 8 people onto a boat, we cap this trip at 5 guests max, and you get a private cabin.
- Real-World Application: We don’t just sail in circles around a buoy. We do real passages, anchor in real bays, and deal with real-world marina dynamics.
- Low-Ego, High-Support Coaching: Whether you are taking the helm for the very first time or practicing a Med mooring, the focus is on building muscle memory in a calm, shout-free environment.
- A True Holiday: Yes, you will learn a ton. But we also make time for a sundowner at anchor, swimming in clear water, and actually enjoying the Croatian coast.
