Terms and Conditions – All Winds Adventures / Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH

Please ensure you have read and understood the terms and conditions below before making a booking, charter, rental, or course reservation.

If anything is unclear, please contact us for clarification.

By paying for any activity, rental, course, or charter organised by All Winds Adventures / Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.

1. Booking and Group Responsibility

After making a booking with All Winds Adventures, the designated group organiser (if applicable) will be required to complete a booking form including all participating guests.

It is the responsibility of the organiser to ensure that all participants have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

For yacht charters, copies of each traveller’s passport and any required licences must be submitted as part of the booking process.

The group organiser will act as the main point of contact and is responsible for sharing all communication and updates with the group.

2. Types of Activities Covered

These Terms & Conditions apply to:

  • Bareboat and skippered yacht charters organised through All Winds Adventures worldwide
  • Windsurfing, sailing, winging, and SUP lessons or coaching events in Switzerland and abroad
  • Social events, trips, and adventure weeks hosted or organised by All Winds Adventures
  • Equipment rental and retail purchases made through All Winds Adventures or Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH

Specific details for each activity (such as itinerary, timing, or equipment) will be outlined in your booking confirmation or rental agreement.

3. Itinerary and Coach/Skipper Authority

Your skipper or coach will always prioritise safety and may adapt the itinerary, lesson, or schedule in response to weather conditions, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

The skipper or coach has full authority to change or cancel a session, route, or plan if they deem it necessary for safety or operational reasons.

Guests are expected to respect and follow all instructions from their skipper, coach, or event leader.

4. Embarcation, Course Start, and Disembarcation

Charter and course start/end times are detailed in your specific booking confirmation.

For charters, yachts must generally return to base by 17:00 on the evening before disembarkation, with check-out completed by 08:00 the following morning.

Participants who fail to arrive by the stated check-in or start time may be deemed a no-show, and no refund will be issued.

5. Payments and Cancellations

a) Non-payment

Failure to pay the deposit or balance by the agreed deadline may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of any amounts already paid.

b) Cancellations by the Guest

All deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations made after full payment are also non-refundable, except in cases where we can rebook your space. In such cases, we may offer a partial refund at our discretion.

We strongly recommend that all participants have comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, illness, and other unexpected events.

c) Cancellation by Us

We aim to maintain a zero-cancellation policy, but if cancellation becomes unavoidable (e.g. due to safety, weather, or operational reasons), we will:

  • Offer alternative dates or equivalent arrangements, or
  • Provide a full refund of payments made to us.

Please note that associated costs (such as travel, flights, accommodation, or transfers) are not refundable.

6. Force Majeure

An Event of Force Majeure refers to any event beyond the control of All Winds Adventures / Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH that prevents us from delivering the agreed services.

This includes, but is not limited to: extreme weather, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, civil unrest, strikes, or government restrictions.

In such circumstances, we will make every reasonable effort to provide alternative solutions, but we cannot be held liable for any resulting losses or costs.

7. Safety, Liability, and Guest Responsibility

All participants must follow the instructions of the skipper, coach, or event leader at all times.
Sailing, windsurfing, winging, and related activities involve inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

All Winds Adventures / Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH will not be liable for:

  • Accidents or injuries resulting from guest negligence or disregard of safety instructions
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Weather- or equipment-related changes to your activity or itinerary

All guests are responsible for arranging adequate insurance covering personal injury, medical costs, liability, and loss of personal property for the activities they are booking.

8. Weather and Itinerary Changes

The weather is an integral and unpredictable part of all water-based activities.

For bareboat charters, it is the skipper’s responsibility to monitor forecasts and adapt the route as needed.
In cases of strong winds or storms, you may need to remain in a protected marina or anchorage until conditions improve.

For courses or social events, lessons or sessions may be postponed, rescheduled, or adapted for safety reasons.
Refunds will not be issued for weather-related disruptions, but we will always do our best to offer suitable alternatives.

9. Physical Fitness and Health

By participating, each guest confirms they are physically fit and medically able to take part in the activity.
If you have any medical conditions that could affect your participation, please inform us before your booking.
In the event of illness or injury, you consent to receive medical treatment deemed appropriate by the skipper, instructor, or emergency personnel.

10. Conduct and Behaviour

Participants must act responsibly and respect others, the equipment, and the environment.

Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

Aggressive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate exclusion from the activity or charter without refund.

11. Equipment Rental and Use

If you rent equipment (e.g. windsurfing, SUP, or sailing gear) from All Winds Adventures / Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH, you are responsible for:

  • Using it safely and appropriately
  • Returning it in the same condition it was provided
  • Paying for repair or replacement costs in case of damage or loss caused by misuse or negligence

All equipment must be used according to the instructions provided by our staff or instructors.

12. Personal Belongings

While all reasonable care is taken, All Winds Adventures / Swiss Alpine Adventure GmbH cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items during your charter, course, or event.

We recommend that valuables be left at home or secured, and that your travel insurance covers personal belongings.

13. Photography and Media

By joining an activity or charter, you consent to the use of photos or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes (website, social media, brochures, etc.) unless you inform us in writing prior to the event that you do not wish to be included.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the Courts of the Canton of Zug.
